Julia specializes in writing and editing stories that put a human face to important work. At Hattaway, she creates messages and strategic messaging tools that help cause-based organizations communicate about their work consistently, authentically, and across their team—helping clients such as Consumer Reports, the Ford Foundation, and Stanford University increase their visibility and reach. In her life before Hattaway, Julia interned at the Center for Community Change, where she coordinated grassroots campaigns and media outreach. Julia graduated summa cum laude from Stony Brook University, earning bachelor’s degrees in English literature with honors and German language studies. When not in the office, Julia can be found singing in various choirs around DC, playing board games, or reading a good book.
