Leah develops messaging and communications strategies for clients including The Rockefeller Foundation, Lumina Foundation, and the Harlem Children’s Zone. Before joining Hattaway, Leah led strategic communications work for the National Indian Education Association, where her national and local projects focused on changing the narrative about Native students. Leah earned a bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Cornell University with a focus on racial and gender inequality. She is a proud member of the Pascua Yaqui Tribe of Tucson, Arizona, and provides communications guidance to various organizations within the Native community. Leah enjoys teaching yoga, can usually be found cooking something tasty, and is a recovering competitive collegiate debater.
