ABOUT THE JOB

We are looking for a talented, self-starting executive assistant/office manager with five or more years of experience. The successful candidate will be a detail-oriented, proactive project manager and problem solver. You will meet the administrative needs of our president, executive vice president, and senior team members; support business development and marketing efforts; manage the logistics of a busy office space; and play a key role in cultivating a positive and productive culture.

A successful candidate will:

  • Manage the president’s and executive vice president’s schedules and travel arrangements.
  • Provide executive assistance for a wide range of senior management functions, including networking, new business development, recruiting, and company oversight, ensuring confidentiality and discretion.
  • Coordinate scheduling and handle logistical arrangements for a busy roster of internal and external meetings.
  • Support business development, marketing, and relationship management through use of tracking and management tools.
  • Support the work of the comptroller, as necessary, including invoicing and paymenttracking.
  • Execute important internal events, including biweekly staff meetings, quarterly senior management meetings, and our annual company retreat.
  • Carry out all responsibilities and assigned tasks in a professional manner with the highest standards of excellence.
  • Take full responsibility for office management to ensure a pleasant and productive work environment.

YOU HAVE

  • Five or more years of related experience.
  • Excellent organizational skills, exceptional attention to detail, and a passion foroperations processes and challenges.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and advanced administrative skills.
  • Proactive work ethic and a proven ability to plan ahead and anticipate needs.
  • Strong decision-making ability, problem-solving skills, commitment to quality and good judgment.
  • Experience handling a wide range of administrative and project-support tasks, including complex scheduling and travel arrangements.
  • Positive, professional, and collegial attitude.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel,PowerPoint), Google Mail and Calendar, Hubspot, Apple/Mac proficiency.
  • Two-five years of experience covering and/or working in Congress, think tanks, advocacy organizations, and/or communications agencies with clients like ours
  • Experience creating content for advocacy, non-profit, policy, and/or political organizations at community, state, and/or national levels
  • A track record of applying insights from research and analytics to craft messaging and storytelling that produces measurable results
  • A commitment to an equitable workplace and the effort it takes to maintain one
  • A passion for quality and acute attention to detail
  • The desire to grow with a dynamic firm, and work with others in a collaborative, fast-paced environment

We value each person’s professional development, and have a budget and support for pursuing those interests.Our offices are located in downtown Washington, D.C., between the Dupont Circle and Farragut North metro stations. We provide our employees excellent benefits, such as 100% employer-paid health, vision and dental insurance, a flexible workenvironment, and paid medical leave. The salary range for this position is$56,000-$70,000 depending on experience.
