Amid rising tuition, political attacks, and concerns about its relevance, Lumina Foundation needed a new way to talk about the role and value of college today.
Through in-depth research with adults across the country, we found high hopes that college can help people build a good life and make the world better. But the real and perceived costs of college poisoned the well in all sorts of ways. People needed to see higher education leaders who understand them, their concerns, and their aspirations.
