As the managing director of the strategy team at Hattaway, Dorry excels in developing creative campaigns that remind their intended audiences of what’s important and how to achieve it, giving them new perspectives that can help change their hearts and minds. A collaborator who incorporates multiple perspectives into a project, she strives to build coalitions and power partnerships that enable stakeholders to work together to achieve a common goal. Her recent work seeks to counter negative stereotypes of marginalized communities—including the Latino, as well as the Arab, Middle Eastern, Muslim, Sikh, and South Asian communities—by showcasing their contributions to the country via social media and outreach with community members and spokespeople. In helping to amplify their voices, she taught new audiences that these communities have been speaking out all along—and that now it is time to listen. She has a bachelor’s degree in journalism and a master’s in digital communication and nonprofit and corporate communication. In her free time, Dorry enjoys taking her kids on adventures, whether to the park or checking out something new in the community. When the kids are otherwise occupied, Dorry loves cooking, reading and hiking.
